About the Black Hills

The Black Hills of South Dakota is a beautiful region of pine-clad mountains on the borders of South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana. Many of South Dakota's most livable and beautiful communities are located here. Year-round recreation is a magnet that draws visitors from all over the Northern Plains and the Midwest. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy hiking, biking, sailing, skiing, fishing and more! The region boasts six national parks, six state parks and over 100 miles of National Scenic Byways.

Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument and Badlands National Park are world-renowned attractions. Custer State Park is home to one of the largest free-roaming buffalo herds in the world.

Jorgensen Realty is based in Spearfish. Our roots here go deep - we've lived in Spearfish since 1963. This delightful town of about 10,000 people is located less than an hour from Rapid City and a few minutes from historic Deadwood. Other neighboring communities include Belle Fourche and Sturgis - the world-famous home of the annual motorcycle rally.  Black Hills Photos
